Mary

“Mary will always be – everlasting, willing and able…”

I don’t know about you, but Mary sounds more like a slut than some empowering feminist. That was the beginning of our creed (sort of) at the Merriweather school. Mary (every woman) was supposed to be a feminist, powerful and an individual; she loved her body, the earth and all its inhabitants, she is peaceful and cared deeply about humanity.

I’m a disappointment to Ms. Luke; I haven’t been feeling like Mary lately. The other day, my sister bought a vegan bag and is considering the green guide, Ms. Luke would’ve been proud of her. Mary would probably move to a commune and make her own clothes from the earth, living on wild fruit for the rest of her life.

I can’t love all humanity; in fact I can’t stand that ‘Bergdorf Blonde’ wannabe in my building. I secretly hope she trips on her 5” heel Marc Jacobs pump and breaks a nail – Mary isn’t evil

Tonight, I ordered a swarovski crystal accented Jordi Labanda journal hoping I’d write happy thoughts and it’d help me become a better person; more Mary-like – everlasting, willing and able.
