I got the new Les Nubians CD (One Step Forward) this weekend, it’s really good… sorta different; I like it. I’m sorry I didn’t go see them when they were here. I’m convinced now more than ever that it’s my destiny to move to Paris! I mean, how else can I be justifiably called an Afropean or wear those dainty Hermes scarves?

I also got the Ella Fitzgerald Gold, it’s great! I’ve officially become my mother!!! I now listen to the same songs as her, and actually enjoy it! Scary!

I also wanted to get ‘Rough Guide to African Rap. I’ve read great reviews about it, but Virgin didn’t have it so they had to order it, which I’m told takes up to about a month, I just hope I still want it when it finally gets here.

Now. let it not be said that I don’t celebrate my blackness!

And I did watch the Grammy’s Sunday night, Coldplay… the only band the actually deserved to win (for ‘Clocks’) the rest… well was just rubbish!
