2003 in retrospect!

So I finally got round to doing one of these!

1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before: Celebrated Chinese New Year, went to Calgary and Toronto, Volunteered and had mojitos

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year: I don’t believe I kept any of my ’03 resolutions which is why I’m not making any for this year. Let’s just say I’m still working on last year’s.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth: Albie had a baby girl, (I guess I’m not that close to her since i haven’t been to see the baby yet even though we live in the same area) Albert had a son (I guess ‘close’ is relative here since he forgot to mention it!) ok so maybe the answer should be no

4. Did anyone close to you die: Not that I know

5. What countries did you visit: Hey! I just got here ok!

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003: more money, vacation abroad, Ferragamo flats, a book deal, more lucrative and fulfiling career, world peace and bigger boobs

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why: April-12 (got braces), Oct-23 (lump in mom’s breast removed), and so many more!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year: Got living room furniture and survived first year of migrating to Canada

9. What was your biggest failure: still stuck at my paper pushing dead end bureaucratic job

10. Did you suffer illness or injury: Yes! I got a total of 4 colds those 12 months!

11. What was the best thing you bought: a new hard drive for my old laptop (trust me when I say it was the best thing I bought)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration: my mom

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed: my two brothers and ‘he who shall forever remain namelss’

14. Where did most of your money go: my orthodontist, shoes (I no longer wear), bags (I no longer use) and restuarants

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about: not worth mentioning because it also turned out to be my greatest disspointment.

16. What song will always remind you of 2003: that Beyonce and Jay Z one and ‘in da club’

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? happier.

ii. thinner or fatter? I feel fatter but my clothes and number on the scale remains the same

23. How many one-night stands: Regretably none, but there’s hope for me yet in ’04!

24. What was your favorite TV program: Alias, Gilmore Girls, Nip Tuck, CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 (really!)

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year: Hate is such a strong word but yes, I do hate my brother (Paul) now and this time last year I didn’t hate him because I was just coming out of a hating term. We have a love-hate relationship.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying: A trip to Montreal!

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003: Someone said ‘yuppie chic’ too bad I don’t eat tofu or do pilates
